I have been using the older Mouse Man Cordless Optical for a while 
with no problems.   My only suggestion would be to ensure you have 
installed the latest driver from Logitech, as the drivers were 
updated for cordless mice.   Also, what version of the OS are you 
running, I'm assuming 8.6.
