If the 6100 has ethernet you can connect with a crossover cable or with a switch/hub with patch cables. Using a crossover cable is the cheapest but not best solution since it can sometimes cause trouble. If you intend to network these machines permanently I'd suggest using a hub or switch. Another option, though extremely slow, is to connect with a serial cable through the printer or modem ports. If you have a lot of large files to transfer you will be spending a lot of time doing so using this option. Once you have the two systems connected, go into the Appletalk control panel of each system and at the "Connect via" menu select however you have the systems connected. Then go into the File Sharing Control Panels, give each Mac a network name (and passwords if desired), and click the start file sharing buttons in each. Once this is done you can go into the chooser of either Mac, click Appleshare, and choose the other's hard drive(s). The chosen drive(s) will then mount on the desktop. To disconnect simply trash the shared drive. Having only one monitor isn't a problem. Connect the monitor to the 7200 and start both systems. Access the 6100's drives(s) from the 7200. I believe Netscape has a feature under import that allows you to retrieve email and address books. -+-+-+- RPM -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
