Er it isnt necessarily supposed to have one. I think education models did
but consumer models had a modem instead.
You can use a comms slot II eternet card - but this slot may be occupied by
the internal 33k modem. Or you can get a PCI ethernet card but then use up
your only PCI slot. I have tried both with mine but use the comms II card as
I will put a firewire/usb card in the PCI.
You don�t need a comms slot I card.
If you get a card without the ethernet driver you should be able to get it
online from the makers site.

I found it easy to change or add the cards - just observe basic care and
safety practices.
