Hi John,

Isn't the message more like, "the file or doc. could not be opened because
the application that created it cannot be found"?

Anyway. . . did you gather up all preferences from the G3's system folder
that belong to your programs so as to install them in the 9600's System � ?

Did you file-share any program specific extensions and Control Panels
over to the 9600 as well?

Try putting the file you want to open in the folder with its own application
so that it is sure to be able to find it.
