No, it's a convenient model, which I know works with Seagate UW-SCSI drives, 
and that's why I selected it.

That it also works for non-Seagate 50-pin drives (FUJITSU, e.g.) and for 
non-Seagate 68-pin drives (WDIGTL, e.g.) is a plus.
