Most upgrade cards have the processors soldered on rather than using 
ZIFs and tend to be more economical unless you have a cheap supply of 
ZIFs. I have xlr8 ZIF carriers installed in both my PCI machines and 
would highly recommend them except that xlr8 went out of business so no 
more support. I believe the other maker of ZIF carriers is gone as well.

I'm not sure if anything was ever developed for the DAV socket, though 
the PC Compatibility card in my 9600 has one and I've read that it's 
possible to feed A/V through it. The manual for the PC card doesn't 
mention anything about it, and the 9600 lacks the DAV socket anyway. I'd 
like to know if anything was specifically made for it.
