I doubt that this happens with our list but what my ISP tech was saying is that once a spammer infiltrates a list with a return address that can trigger the spam filters, the list members' ISP mail servers whose filters were triggered will bounce the message back to the source, which, in our case would be maclaunch.com. People on digest mode would not receive that whole digest containing the spammers address if their mail servers filters were set to reject that address. The same "blacklisted" address or other spam filter triggering element could continue to cause bounces as that list mail is copied, reproduced and resent in any form by the list members. >My problem is that messages from me using <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> as >my return address have been bounced by maclaunch.com -- including my >attempts to unsubscribe that address from this list! > - Aaron Someone else can confirm this, but IIRC, Maclaunch will bounce any mail back to the original sender if it contains anything other than plain text or normal website links, no HTML. You must be careful if copying info from a website. Also, some copied website links that list members use in their list submissions could trigger a spam filter somewhere for some list member's ISP mail server. Who knows what these spamcop databases contain? Double-check the content of the mail you were submitting. Otherwise, apparently the fastmail mail server address works when you submit to this list, it's just the usermail.com that doesn't. If you were ever dropped from the list (as I inadvertently was twice by the pci list mail server) did you make sure you resubscribed with the correct email address? (Just asking?) My issue was that maclaunch was sending me messages that my ISP was bouncing my PCI list mail but my ISP said their mail server had not bounced ANY. Maclaunch then believed it's own bogus messages and dropped me so I had to resubscribe. Mike -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
