What you need is something called Localtalk Bridge. I believe this is 
it: 
<http://download.info.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/English-North_American/Macintosh/Networking-Communications/Other_N-C/LocalTalk_Bridge_2.1.smi.bin>

This lets you run Appletalk on both your  printer and ethernet ports.

I don't know, however, if it works under 9.2 :-(
