Better than throwing the monitor off a bridge into a river, I
suppose, 'specially since it's illegal ;-)

both of the above, no problemo! I've got umpteen zillion wrist straps
from previous jobs ready, and that much I can handle. However...

At this moment, I don't see user-accessible screws to disassemble the
beast. That's one reason I'm still keeping it on the PCI P-macs list.
If anyone can point me to a URL for help with the beast, I'd
appreciate it.

The 1710 I'm running at home (with my 7200/SonnetG3/400) had a bent
pin in its ADB connection, but it ran without it. As soon as I
straightened the pin and hooked it up correctly -- whammo! -- the
AppleVision software worked beautifully. It has noticeable burn-in
from System 7.x (I can see the great big question mark Apple Help
when the lights in my room are out).

Hope this post helps the list, and more help needed, please, on
breaking into the beast. Since I'm armed correctly with grounding
material (I ain't plugged in the beast in a long time), I'm ready to
go. I don't want to throw it into the river or (selfishly) "free for
pickup" to the Swaplist... yet.

Thanks, and peace....
