Thanks for the tip.  Back before I made the "switch" (1996) Norton was THE
troubleshooting suite for the Peecee.  I guess I assumed that it was as good
in the Mac arena.

Is Apple Hardware test a free product?  Yeah, I know, dumb question, but
I've never heard of it.
