Problem: Upgraded Performa to 5500/225 AV with new motherboard and 12x CD and 4.3GB HD (From a dead PC). Everything works...except....
Using 7.6.1 disk, I reformatted and zeroed out new HD. It worked. Installed 7.6.1 and kept getting extension conflict when booting from HD. Tried to boot from 7.6.1 disk and still got an extension conflict when booting from the CD! (Apple script conflict.) Is there a key combo that boots from CD and disables extensions? CD. does work.
