Howdy, I'm still trying to figure out if your name is really,
you'll disable the extensions.Problem ThoughtsUpgraded Performa to 5500/225 AV with new motherboard and 12x CD and 4.3GB HD (From a dead PC). Everything works...except.... Using 7.6.1 disk, I reformatted and zeroed out new HD. It worked. Installed 7.6.1 and kept getting extension conflict when booting from HD. Tried to boot from 7.6.1 disk and still got an extension conflict when booting from the CD! (Apple script conflict.) Is there a key combo that boots from CD and disables extensions? CD. does work. Used it to reinstall software on another computer and it worked great. So if you hold down the shift key on a reboot
Then you can set up a "Duplicate" set to your presently working set of Extensions
and Control Panels that are all within the Extensions Manager.
Remember the name of your working set when you get there,
Make a duplicate and have fun naming it.
Now you can turn off Applescript or a few things, and try a restart.
You can "Rename" your present SET of EXts & CPs if you want.
When you duplicate the present set,
It doesn't matter which one you choose to mess with
You can always go back to the other if you screw up '!'
Name one, "The Great Freeze of December"
or none of this will work. :) '!'
