I can attest to the good and the bad with Norton. I had been working with my 7100/80 and started having trouble with it starting up. It wouldn't even boot from the 8.5 CD! Go figure! But I was able to boot off the Norton disk, v3.5. This is a hard one to figure but it happened. However, my Dad, always staying up with Norton (he's been a Norton fanatic from way back) installed v5 on his 6500/300 with disatrous effect. His system crashed immediately after installation. He was able to start from his OS CD and did a reinstall of his system and even swore off Norton for a time.
