Hi. The internal Yamaha 8x SCSI CD-RW in my 9600/g4/450 suddenly decided to retire permanently. Since I have a Sonnet Tempo ATA66 card in the machine, and given a new, fast IDE CD-RW is about the same in price a used, slower SCSI drive, I'd like to go with an IDE drive. Since the Sonnet card is picky about CD drives I'd appreciate any advice/recommendations before I start looking. I don't care about it being bootable since the stock SCSI 24x drive is still installed.
I'll check the owner reports at xlr8yourmac.com as well. Thanks! -+-+-+- RPM -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
