Forgive me if this sounds familiar, but I have tried nearly everything. Upgraded my hard drive. Drive setup recognized it. I initialized and low-level formatted. Worked fine. Loaded 7.6.1 from cd. Worked.
Booted up and ran into error type 10 problems. Messed around and couldn't get anywhere. Decided to reload sys. software, and CD hangs on error type 10 involving applescript. Trashed Applescript Trashed finder prefs zapped pram replaced pram battery pushed mobo reset button tried system reinstall but installer hangs So, my computer will not let me initialize the HD because the cd won't completely boot while hard drive is connected. If I disconnect HD power, cd works, but wont go back and find the hd after replugging. If I boot without extensions, HD works but will not allow me to reinstall system software without error type 10.
