Try this:  Reboot with extensions off (hold shift key while booting), 
once booted open system folder then the extensions folder.  In the 
extensions folder find the crescendo extension.  Click once on the name 
to highlight, at the front of the name click once and type the space bar 
once.  Close all windows and reboot.
