I'm sure everyone knows this already, but just in case: You could save a lot
of time and money by just running an ethernet cable from your PCI machine to
your router.

Undoubtedly, there are many people whose particular situations make that
solution impossible and you might be one of them. I just wanted to mention
it in case you didn't realize you could go that route.
