Well, the first board worked fine until I added another HD. After that, I
had to hold down the power button on the keyboard for 50 or 60 "clicks"
before it would start.

The second board worked fine until I went on vacation. I unplugged it for a
week and a half. When I plugged it in and started it, the wallpaper was
gone and all my icons were stacked on the left side of the desktop. That
started to happen everytime I would start it. Now it is doing the same as
the other board (clicking 50 times before it starts).

Out of curiosity, what are the 8500 boards like? Same RAM and daughter
cards compatible?

                                                Thanks alot,

                                                Kevin
