You need a carrier card to use ZIF cards in PCI Macs, which replaces the present card in the processor slot. If the seller is truthful and says it plugs right in, it must be on a carrier. If so, $45 is a steal. Otherwise.... I'm using xlr8 carriers in my 9600 and 7500 without trouble.
