Depends on if he has any of that variety, and how eager he is to sell his card. I probably have close to 25 Macs in my house, yet nothing better than a 6500 so I wouldn't really be qualified to talk about performance and such in a 7600 or 9600. >but i am still unclear on how much card--ie, how much RAM on it, any >other features on it, is way too much for this machine. i do want 3d >rendering, gaming quality visuals if possible. this is my 'highest' mac >in my collection so far. IMHO, a 6360 would not be ideal for 3-D gaming, especially anything reasonably current. Even with my 16mb Voodoo3 in my 275mhz 6500 (architecturally similar/identical to a 6360), Unreal Tournament is only just barely playable on the smaller levels. I really don't think a faster vid card with more memory would make that much difference. Naturally a G3 upgrade would help things, but the best bang/buck for gaming can be had in the likes of a 7/8/9 5/600-class machine, or even a Beige or B&W G3 these days. With the money spent on a G3 Upgrade and the like for the 6360, you could probably have pretty close to a G3 7600. This is all IMHO of course.
