I'd suggest that Michael Galant buy a second-hand copy of Microsoft Work 5.1a (they come on 800K floppy disks that you must install them off of), and apply the MS updates (If the MS D/L links for those are broken again, Email me off-list about them).
Note that once you have updated Microsoft Work 5.1a, you can "stuff" and then copy the entire Application Folder to any G3 or G4 CPU machine (they lack the old APPLE "SuperDrive" Floppy Drive that can read 800K disks, and all the newer external USB ones cannot read any Mac OS 400K or 800K floppy disks), and once "unstuffed" it will even function under any version of OS X under the "Classic" Emulation Environment, that I've tried it on thus far (my son is a computer technician, and we have done experiments with seeing what works under the OS X "Classic" Emulation Environment, with the result being that dual-booting is still the best option for many, many things, but Microsoft Word 51.a works fine). Note: While I'm a registered owner of both Microsoft Word 51.a and Microsoft Office '98 (that comes with Microsoft Word 8.x), and I briefly tried Office 2001 (that comes with Microsoft Word 9.x) and quickly dropped that, I find that later versions of MS Word for Mac OS are unstable and glitchty (yes, I've applied all current updates and fixes). Therefore, I use Microsoft Word 51.a and DataViz MacLinkPlus 13 instead, when I must use MS Word. -Martin Totusek -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
