Strange. I use MS Office 2001 so that I can do work usable on the school's PCs. (I haven't convinced them to upgrade to Mac!) I use all of Office's functions including Word with no problems. (It never has been as smooth as AppleWorks, but swaps to their machines without the hassle of finding the proper translation version for saves to their various Word versions.) I've been using Word since my Mac Plus days and 2001 works smoothest for me. I'm using it on a G3 upgraded 8600, 7600s and G3 upgraded PB 1400s with equal stability.
