Modem connection problems.

I have two 8500s.
I installed GlobalFax 2.6.8 in one (A) and it can't find the GV Platinum modem. Installed in the other (B) there is no problem finding the same modem. I switched motherboards.
(A) still can't find the modem.
Both are running OS 9.2.2

Anyone have an idea?
