Hello to all again I have to tell this story one more time because I'm getting tired of the serial port problem.
After a clean install of Mac Os 8.6, I had left the Comm II modem installed thinking that it would work ? Wrong ! Now after I remove this card the computer won't boot unless I turn off extensions. The serial port that was plugged, blocked by Apple from day one, can't be selected in the modem control panel. where is the problem? Was it because I installed Os 8.6 with the CommII card in place, and the application that makes Comm II card isn't there anymore. I think so because as I read other list serv's post's from the past, I see that people have a work around for this problem. Remembering that Apple put these card's in from the factory and blocked the serial port. Other people tell me that they remove the card and there serial port work's fine. What to do next ???
