I'm trying to put an IBM Ultrastar drive (DCHS-09F, one of those big
clunky things) as my backup drive in my 7600/G3, but have been unable
to initialize the drive. Tried both a hacked copy of Drive Setup and
Hard Disk Toolkit without success.
Worse, when I tried a low-level format in HD Toolkit, my Mac froze on
me and I had to reboot. Now Drive Setup no longer recognizes the
drive, and while HD Toolkit still does, I am unable to do anything to
the drive any more (if I try to initialize the drive, I get a message
saying that the device is not ready).
Any ideas what I should do next?

Heok Hee
