Does you camera have USB out?  If so, do you have USB on your Mac?  Typically, 
(typically I said, not always) if you plug them into your Mac, they will show up as a 
removable hard drive and then you can pull the pics off and use whatever you want to
cut/crop/save them.  JPeg View or Graphic Converter both work well.

It's the Windoze crap that always needs the software.....
