EPSON 740 Printer info FYI: When you replace what is called the cartridge you are replacing only the ink NOT the head as is the case with the Apple printers.
When you check on the full level of the ink it is produced by subtraction of a 100,000 or so ink jet activations NOT by measuring the actual level of ink in the well. So it is wrong, remove and re place the same cartridge and the measurement is reset to full. Thus it is not going to let you print because it thinks it is empty, but it is NOT!!! FYI: Be sure to OIL the slider with 3 in 1 oil, 1 - 2 drops each month.
