Hi there, I recently requested an OS 9 disk on the swap list, after scouring the net for as much information as I could about whether or not it would work on a PowerMac 5400 / 180. Someone mentioned in their response that OS 9 putters along on older Macs.
Anyone have any experience with this? I don't need blazing speed, which is obvious since I'm considering using a 180 MHz machine. I've noticed that OS 7.5.6 (I think) is spritely enough. My concern, though, as I try to make some use of the Mac for it's SCSI and TV-out capabilities, at least, is that it's going to be more difficult to find apps for OS 7.5 than for OS 9.x. Would OS 8.x be a better alternative than either? Thanks, Daniel __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable.
