Tim,

I would just get a PCI card.
Else you lose 3 PCI slots - which depends if you
plan to use them or not.

If you wanted to switch to an 8600 setup, then
not only would you need:
1) a 8600 mobo (preferably Kansas)
2) mounted on the inside of my 8600 case is
the AV ports mounted on a small board, you need
this to be able to match the pin connector which
is the interface between the mobo and the AV
ports.  

Unless you can figure out the pin-outs
and what signals go where... This is major hack.
I can send you some photos of the my 8600 setup
if you like.
