Update... Two issues (just repeating what m'housemate said; haven't verified anything): The registration wasn't "sticking", because apparently TurboTax randomly commits hari-kari after a while if it isn't kept on an internet-accessable computer. Guess it likes to check in with Intuit periodically? My housemate's POV is that her family's private financial data simply should not be internet accessable! The other problem is that TurboTax wasn't transferring data from one form to another properly.
