I made an aweful mistake 7 years ago. I wanted a Mac-based non-linear video editing system. But when it looked like Mac was going belly-up, I bought a Dell Pentium 90 Mhz system and set forth to upgrade it myself. I added a PCI Adaptec Ultrawide SCSI Card, Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM SCSI Drive for capture, and a MiroDC20 Capture card with S-video and RCA video in/out.
I have never been able to successfully use the system to do any full screen projects. And not being a Windows user, I cannot troubleshoot it. So when the system is rendering a project in Premiere and crashes every time, I have no idea why. Finally, Can any of the above mentioned parts be used in my 7300, or any other PCI Mac? I am assuming the drive and SCSI card can, but am not sure. Any advice appreciated much. Thanks, Tom -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
