OK, I THINK my 9600 G3 crashing problem is an extensions problem,
whether a damaged extension, conflict or faulty font file... and what
a job it will be trying to sort through everything in the attempt to
locate the offender.

BUT the problem began without my altering a setting or adding any
software... the 9600 worked fine at work, but as soon as I brought it
home, crash!

Can an inevitable freeze immediately after booting, caused by
attempting to open a program (ANY program) with extensions running,
be caused by an extensions fault without changing a setting or adding
extensions? This does not happen if I have extensions off.
