It allows you to force your monitor to resolutions and refresh rates not 
available in the Monitors control panel.  It has a nice feature where if 
you select a setting that positively will not work, it will revert to 
the previous setting in 10 seconds, or hitting "Return."  The reason I 
use it is Diablo II wants a particular ATI driver in order to use my 
XCLAIM VR card.  That driver doesn't work very well with my system, and 
the resolutions I know are supported by both card and monitor are no 
longer available to me.  So I use SuperRes to correct it.
