I agree with Ken.  I had a Quadra 630 that had an IR receiver, and the 
only thing it did was turn the computer on when I turned on my TV  :)  .

So what you're missing is a PC to Mac serial connector for the Palm 
Cradle.  The other alternative is to buy a USB card, the USB Palm kit, 
and upgrade to OS 8.6, and turn on USB support.
