Janet, You are worrying for nothing. You can use a different OS to boot up and do its stuff. I have 8.6, 9.1.2, 9.2.2 on different partitions, and boot from whichever one I want, as well as booting from Nortons CD, Tech Tools CD. It doesn't make any difference. Of course, if I want to have use of firewire, usb, etc. I have to copy/install the appropriate drivers to each OS's system folders.
