Cox had to add a card? I run about a dozen Macs (7100s, 7600s, 8600s, PB 1400s and even a few 680xx when I feel like playing with history.) All via their built in ethernet and through a couple of hubs. I've never had any problems (after the initial hook up problems which were solved when I hooked everything up while the cable guy was checking the outside connections) I haven't bothered with faster ethernet as my over 500 MBS stays constant no matter how many Macs are running at the same time. (That's the fastest that Cox here allows.)
