    I believe you found my problem. One of the things I did was to throw 
items out of my preference folder, and one of those items was the 
Netscape Users folder. I lost my email but I have been able to replace 
my bookmarks and my address book because I had saved them to my  HD. As 
far as eliminating the freezing of my computer, I rebuilt the desktop 
and zapped the pram. This has taken care of that situation.
