I used the OrangeMicro FW/USB combo unit in the 7600 I had, for a long time before I gave it to my Mom and am running the Sonnet Tempo Trio in my 8600 now. Both worked in 9.1 and 10.1.5.

I can not find a card that says it is for PCI 2.0 specification, they are all at least PCI 2.1. I gotta believe that a PCI 2.1 card works in a 2.0 PCI slot. What else is everybody else using on their pre 1993 PMS? Where are the experts on this topic to verify this? I do not want to buy another card as an experiment to see if it works. Plus I want to make sure there is not another reason (my add-on G3 or OS 8.6) why this first card won't work. Thanks, Mike >> -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
