hasn't there been a longrunning, oft mentioned discussion here about trouble with western digital hard drives, getting them to set up and 'take'? i remember a number of postings about how to get the machine to accept them and let them take an install. something about drivers? changing the shorthand in the driver file? and something about the same needing to be done for fujitsu drives, too? am i remembering aright? somebody with better chops step in and help me place this topic. i know we've talked about it.
