Finally remembered to look at my USB card box. It's a Koutech IO/Flex USB 1.1 controller....states that it 'Supports Power Macintosh computer with PCI slots and Mac OS 8.6 or higher**'
And the ** fine print says 'Mac Computer with PCI V2.1 compliant slots' Now, I stuck it in my beige G3 and all is fine, Apple System Profiler sees it as a USB card, though this is on OS X 10.2. I don't know offhand what version of PCI is in the Gossamer systems. So it might be. All said and done, I know for a fact that both my Sonnet Tempo Trio card and a Belkin USB card did work in my 7600. -- "Wherever you go, there you are." - B.
