Though I am using a B&W G3 I have my external Firewire DVD drive attached to a PCI Firewire/USB2.0 card. The drive itself I sort of put together by "Frankensteining" my brother's internal IDE DVD drive with the external casing for my old Firewire CD-RW. I am using OS X.2.3 and the hacked version of the Apple DVD player and it works great =)! I'm not sure about DVD software that will work with OSes below X. Check with xlr8yourmac.com to find DVD software that will work with 8.6 - 9.x.x and an external player. --- "Silence can not be misquoted." --- -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
