thanks for your warnings -
that powerbook seems to be more and more badly damaged  since i don't 
have it here with me I'll have to rely om hersey -
nothing happens when you start up but the little green hood light 
comes on, and it wont stop shining if you pull off the powercable or 
remove the battery, the light still burns.
I had a radio that had a meltdown from to strong electrics  that 
acted like that.
I will get it here friday and open it up - but i really don't have a 
clue what to do,
will try to refit the ram and processor, maybe it took a blow of some sort?
and I have a spare prambattery - so i will try that too - and 
resolder - because there is a known glitch there
