I remember reading somewhere on LEM about known bad soldier connections on the multiscan 17's. I have one out of 3 that did the same thing . It went a particularly nasty shade of yellow for about a year - giving it a rap on the top used to fix it occassionally. Now for about the last 6 months it seems to have fixed itself. When I pulled the case off of the monitor to see if I could fix it, there was a large dark/black stain on the top of the picture tube and the inside of the case indicitive of excessive heat so I figured it's a lost cause, but it seems to be ok at the moment.
