I wouldn't say "special" memory (not like SODIMMS, which IMHO are a PITA to 
find...) - head to ... I believe it's other world computing to see what's 
there for RAM.

Ummm... Video cards are odd beasts. Some can be flashed over for PC or Mac, 
others (like this *&*%^ Radeon 7000) can't - you need to buy a *specific* 
Mac version for it. I've run into the same with IDE controller cards. Not 
sure about the Voodoo3 right offhand. Other kinds of cards (USB, 
f'rinstance) will normally be fine. Best I can say is... "Before you buy 
the card, do reeeesearch.)
