I advise you to stay at 7.6.1 until you
can afford the $30 for a stick of 128MB  RAM.
Keep a close watch on
www.OtherWorldComputing.com    for MailListSpecial RAM prices,
in case the cost goes lower.

Perhaps some folks will give you some 32MB sticks.
