It is easy to get carried away thinking that a major catastrophic
event
damaged a component. Actually the SCSI cable connectors or the replacement
drives or associated power connections may simply need a thorough cleaning
with electronic contact spray. In a well ventilated area, of course.
In my experience this is often the case and the first place to start.
Fully seated connections and interupted circuits being the second.
