Power supplies have protection circuitry to limit stray electrical surges from causing haboc to the motherboard and peripherals. Its MOSFET absorbs the "shock" and blows up before it hurts the rest. The culprit may not be entirely termination (especially if you haven't altered them since installing the new PS) but rather humidity/oxidation on the SCSI cable attached to the drives. Try pulling them off and reinsert one at a time, restarting each time to see if the drives will mount or get Drive Setup to re-write the drivers if it will recognize them. .
