The usual installation would be to go from the 475 to the 300CD using a 25pin to 50 pin cable. If you also have an external hard drive, it depends on what kind of connectors are on the hard drive enclosure. If 25 pin, then you need another 25 pin to 50 pin cable.
Depending on what sequence you hook things up, you will need a terminator on the "empty" connector of the last device in the chain. Then set the SCSI ID switches on the devices (I use "1" for the hard drive and "3" for the 300CD). Boot the 475 and see what happens.
