What does it say for your enet card in Apple System Profiler
under the "Devices and Volumes" tab?

Mine says (among other things):
Card Name:  pci10ec,8139
Card Vendor ID: 10EC

and the extension that runs the card is named:
RTL8139x Driver

I also have the extension:
Apple Enet
but I think that runs to 10BT ethernet port on the motherboard,
not the PCI ethernet card.
