No the 'Kansas' 8600/9600 CPU daughtercards only run in those machines. Apple changed the design slightly (moved the L2 cache from the MB to the daughtercard and the signal voltage) and that makes them incompatible with the other 'PCI' machines. Your best bet is to look for a used G3 card although a new G3/400 card is only $99 at Other World Computing. Even a 233 G3 will really improve the machine over a 180 Mhz 60x.
